HBCU Leadership Summit

Accessibility

How to tell us what you need, and what we are doing about this website.

Last updated October 11, 2026

Our commitment

This Summit is about the wellbeing of the people who run HBCU athletics. A room that some of those people cannot use comfortably would be a poor way to make that point. We want every attendee to be able to take part fully, and we would rather over prepare than have you work around a gap on the day.

Telling us what you need

The registration form has a field for dietary and accessibility needs. Anything you write there comes straight to the team planning the room. You can also write to us at any time at [email protected].

Requests we can usually arrange, given notice:

  • Step free routes, and seating with room for a wheelchair or scooter.
  • Reserved seating near the front for anyone who lip reads or has low vision.
  • ASL interpretation or live captioning.
  • Large print or digital copies of session materials.
  • Dietary accommodations, including allergies and religious requirements.
  • A quiet space away from the main room during the day.
  • Help with parking, drop off or getting between sessions.

Please send requests by Thursday, November 26, 2026, two weeks before the Summit. Interpretation and captioning in particular have to be booked ahead. If something comes up after that date, still tell us. We will do what we can.

At the venue

The Summit is held at the Champions Club at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta. We are confirming the detail of accessible parking, entrances, elevators, and restrooms with the venue, and we will publish specifics on this page and in the pre event email once they are confirmed. If you need to know something before then in order to decide whether to travel, email us and we will find out for you.

Service animals are welcome.

This website

We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. In practice that means:

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and focus is always visible.
  • Images that carry meaning have text descriptions.
  • Text and background colours are chosen to meet contrast requirements.
  • Headings and landmarks are marked up so screen readers can navigate the page.
  • Motion is reduced automatically if your device asks for that.

We have not had the site independently audited, so we describe this as what we aim for rather than a certification. Parts of the registration flow run on third party software that we do not control, and we will help you register by phone or email if any of it gets in your way.

Tell us when we get it wrong

If something on this site or at the event is difficult to use, we want to hear about it, including the small things. Write to [email protected] with what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We read every one of these and we will reply.

A note on scope. The HBCU Leadership Summit is an independent event organized by PEIQ. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any college, university, athletic conference, or the Cricket Celebration Bowl.
